Bathroom Paint Colors

Choosing colors for your bathroom may seem confusing. Well, we are here to help with some tips and suggestions.
Even though bathrooms are usually some of the smallest rooms in your home, they should not be overlooked when it comes to decoration. The color of your bathroom will make a big impact on the overall look of your home. Bathrooms act as a refuge from the rest of the world. We are away from everyone and everything, and best of all, some of us do our best thinking while in the bathroom.
You should choose your bathroom color based on your personal taste. You should also consider the mood that the color will bring to the person in the bathroom. Consider whether you want to feel relaxed, cozy, casual, energized, artistic, creative, revitalized, or any o
ther mood. Warm colors have the tendency to energize and are invigorating. Cool colors, on the other hand, tend to be calming and soothing. Also choosing colors that are next to one another on the color wheel will make your bathroom feel more relaxing and serene, but complementary colors, or colors across from one another on the color wheel will give a very artistic or jazzy look to your bathroom. By using black and white or white with royal blue, you will be giving your bathroom a spotless and formal look. A casual look can be accomplished through greens with beige.
Once you have chosen your paint color, do not forget t
o make your accessories and towels accentuate the colors in your bathroom. You can achieve this by using a slightly lighter or darker color for your accessories. You can also use accessories to add a punch of color to a neutral palette in the bathroom. You will likely be happiest is if you keep the shower curtain the same color or close in color to the walls. Use your accent color minimally. It is suggested that you try to stick to two colors and don't overdo it with the design. If you overdo it, rather than being a relaxing space, it is instead a frantic space.
Yellow - This color can make you feel cheery and wake you up in the morning. This is a great color if you have natural light in your bathroom.
Light blue or light green - These colors have a very relaxing feel, especially if paired with neutrals.
Red - Don't do it in the bathroom. It is too intense!
Black and white or white and navy - You can use these colors for a very formal look, but you must be sure that the bathroom is spotless.
White - This is too boring. You need to add a splash of color if using white or it will seem like you are in a restaurant or store.
Purple - Pairing purple with a sage can make you feel like you are in a field of flowers. Great choice!
Neutrals - Many people go with this because they are afraid of color. Neutrals are safe and usually warm.
Orange - Probably not the best choice in color unless you want your bathroom to look like a giant pumpkin.
